This series is part of the modular beginner Brazilian Zouk dance training program designed and taught by Will Russ for Dançarina Events.

Lateral is a 4-week class series on Tuesday evenings 7:15-8:30pm from April 22 to May 13. Will is assisted by Jennifer for this series. Enrollment includes admission to the weekly Tuesday kizzouk practice social (8:30-10pm) during the run of a class series (value of $30 for this series). We recommend not missing more than 1 class in order to keep up and be ready to advance to the next block. All students are required to join the Class Hub via WhatsApp to get updates from instructors and class recap videos.

What shoes to wear? You can train in socks, soft-soled dance shoes, or clean sneakers that were not worn in from the street. Brazilian Zouk dancers usually dance in flats rather than heels.

Wifi & Trios is a 5-week intermediate-level Brazilian Zouk series designed and taught by Will Russ. This series is appropriate for dancers who have completed beginner BZouk training on fundamentals i.e. Basico & Lateral or equivalent training elsewhere. You should be solid in all zouk basic movement patterns, footwork, timing, and framework for connecting with your partner. If you're not sure if you're ready, contact us for a free level assessment.

Wifi is a no-contact lead-follow technique drawing from Lambada, the Brazilian cultural dance that Brazilian Zouk evolved from. Masters of wifi leading can conduct a dance with several follows at once (even dozens or hundreds!).

Trios refers to partner dancing between 3 people - 1 leader and 2 follows or 2 leaders and 1 follow (also called a triad). It takes special coordination and skill to master this technique, but it is a lot of fun! And you can expand from trios to quads, quintuplets...etc, etc...only space and imagination are the limit. Steal dancing is another playful subset of trios.

75-minute classes will be on Thursdays 7-8:15pm from April 24 - May 29 (we skip class on May 1). Enrollment includes admission to the weekly Tuesday kizzouk practice social (8:30-10pm) during the run of a class series (value of $30 for this series). We recommend not missing more than 2 classes in order to keep up. All students are required to join the Class Hub via WhatsApp to get updates from instructors and class recap videos.
